I think the word “diet” has such negative connotation which is why we assume most diets will fail. It is for the very reason that so many people sit with me for the first time at their initial consultation and assume all food from now on will be boring and tasteless and is also why we are reluctant when we haven’t achieved success in the past to then try something new. I see it often in my practice – a pattern of “failed dieting attempts”.
